Here’s the problem.
We have taken the red, white, and blue colors of our iconic flag and stripped them of all meaning. We have taken the blue and placed it on the pedestal of the Democratic Party. We have taken the red and given it away to the Republican Party. So, with only the white left–the white which represents our purity and innocence–we have nothing. Because we have given the other two colors a different definiton, the white no longer has one. Because we have created two parties that corrupt our government and twist our morals, we no longer have our purity and innocence.
You see, in America, red + blue = white. Red (which symbolizes our bravery and the blood shed for our freedom) and blue (which signifies our vigilance, perseverance, and justice) both combine to make our purity and innocence. Together, all three colors embody our integrity. They embody our values. They embody us.
So when we take the red and blue and assign it to a certain party and its ideals, everything we are and everything we have is lost.
We have lost our identity.
Can you see the problem now?
It is no longer red, white, and blue.
It is now red, white, and who?
Great insight
